Publicly supported equity and quasi-equity
Companies can also obtain equity products offered with public support. The European Investment Bank (EIB) and its partly-owned subsidiary, the European Investment Fund (EIF), have several instruments through which they channel equity investments to organisations and projects under certain themes and programmes:
- EIB Venture Debt
- COSME – Equity Facility for Growth
- InnovFin Equity
- European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF)
- InvestEU – Equity
In addition to EU-level public banks and institutions, National Promotional Banks and Institutions (NPBIs) and regional and local promotional banks can offer different forms of equity finance for circular economy initiatives.
